Welcome to Montessori 3rd-4th! We will be having alot of fun and working hard this school year. In a Montessori classroom, your child will learn at his/her own pace and level. This allows the child to find success and growth in his/her learning. It is a joy to see each child find the love of learning. I want to thank you for being your child's teacher and allowing them the opportunity to reach their full learning potential. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at school(989-866-6739) or email me! If you would like to visit our classroom, please call the school. We would LOVE for you to come and see our wonderful classroom! MEAP Information: The students did a great job on the MEAP. Thank you for making sure your child had enough sleep and a good breakfast. The results from the MEAP should be sent to the school sometime in the Spring.

If you have any questions, please let me know! | How does the Montessori Classroom work? I have been asked by many parents how my classroom works because of the multiple grades. I have a wonderful and unique classroom. Each child is placed in a learning group that works for HIM/HER instead of what grade he/she is placed in. This means if your child can do work above his/her grade level, that is exactly where the child is placed. If he/she needs more work in an area, this is where the child is placed. It is a wonderful opportunity for each child to advance at his/her own pace. This helps the student not to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. I have seen wonderful advancement of all of my students!
How does the multiple grades work for students? This is another question I am frequently asked by parents. The students in my room work togethor as a team. The students are frequently placed into projects with students of both grades. Ths allows all of the students to use their strengths to succeed on a project. I also allow the students to help one another with questions. This helps the older students feel important because they can help the younger students. I also create opportunites for the younger students to teach the older students. This helps to create equality in the classroom. All of the students in my room are friends and it is not based on what grade he/she is in. I am so proud of how the class has come togethor to form a family. We are a wonderful and unique classroom!
